BMW Park Stadium Construction Can Be Started in 2018

Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah said, stadium and sport facilities construction at Bersih Manusiawi Berwibawa (BMW) Park, North Jakarta, can be started next year. Because recently Jakarta Provincial Government just has that land certificate.

According to him, groundbreaking for water sport facility has been done. Moreover, lake has been deepened and installed with sheet piles.

"Stadium construction must be started in 2018," he said, Tuesday (10/3).

City Ready to Build Stadium at BMW Park

He added, his side can not ensure whether to use City Budget or corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund for its construction. Thus, stadium management should wait for the last decision.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Administration Land Office Head, Kasten Situmorang said, six certifications of use rights for total 263,297 square meters BMW Park land have been issued.

"Certificates for four lands at Papanggo Urban Village and two lands at Sunter Agung Urban Village have been issued," he informed.

He explained, North Jakarta Administration Land Office also supports Jakarta Provincial Government to have international standardized stadium.

"Hopefully this construction can be realized soon and this stadium can be our pride," he closed.
